“Indeed, we have sent it down as an Arabic Qur’an that you might understand.”

Allah AWT ordered all Muslims to think about the meanings of the Quran and apply its rules and teachings in their daily life.

He said in the Holy Quran:

“This is a blessed Book which we have revealed to you, O Muhammad, that they might reflect upon its verses and that those of understanding would be reminded”.

(Surah Sad 29).

Also, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) recommended all Muslims learn the Quran. He said,

“The best Muslims are those who learn the Quran and teach it.”

1. Through the Qur’anic context, in this course you will:

4. read familiar phrases and verses.
5. compare between Qur’anic and Modern Standard Arabic writing styles.
6. translate high frequency Qur’anic words and use them correctly.
7. listen to and explain a few short Surahs.
8. differentiate between nouns, pronouns, and adjectives.
9. write and spell high frequency words.
10. discover the structure of nominal sentences.
11. compare the structures of phrases and complete sentences.
12. compare between khabar (predicate) and adjective.
13. discriminate between indefinite and definite nouns.
14. compare between nominative, accusative, and genitive nouns.
15. discover how nouns and adjectives agree with number and gender.
16. learn about singular and plural attached pronouns.
17. compare between possessive and personal pronouns.
18. learn about Idafa construction: possession.

Arabic (Qur’anic) Beginners 2

1. Through the Qur’anic context, in this course you will:
2. build fluency reading Qur’anic verses.
3. practice simple Tajweed rules: ghunnah, and qalqalah.
4. become more familiar with a range of nominal sentence structures.
5. distinguish between hamzatul-wasl and hamzatul-qat’.
6. translate short verses containing familiar words.
7. become familiar with dictionaries and looking up words.
8. differentiate between adverbs and adjectives.
9. write and spell more complex words.
10. discover the structure of verbal sentences.
11. practice the points of letter articulation (makharij).
12. discriminate between indefinite and definite idafa.
13. learn common functions of accusative nouns.
14. conjugate past tense verbs with singular pronouns.
15. learn about singular and plural attached pronouns.
16. discover the Arabic root system using qur’anic examples.
17. distinguish between transitive and intransitive verbs.

Arabic (Qur’anic) Beginners 3

1. Through the Qur’anic context, in this course you will:
2. read Quranic verses with more confidence and accuracy.
3. practice simple Tajweed rules: madd.
4. use dictionaries efficiently.
5. differentiate between adverbs and adjectives.
6. write and spell complex phrases.
7. compare between the components of nominal and verbal sentences.
8. learn other functions of accusative nouns.
9. conjugate past tense verbs with singular and plural pronouns.
10. practice the use of patterns to predict the meaning of words.
11. learn some interrogative words and use them to ask questions.
12. experiment negation through simple conversation.
13. conjugate regular verbs in present tense using correct prefixes.
14. use active participle to discover the meaning of Allah’s names.
15. practice the use of regular feminine and masculine plurals.
16. listen to verses and copy them correctly.
17. use nominal and verbal sentences effectively.
